From Joshua Tree we traveled south to Palm Springs in the Coachella valley. The Thousand Trails RV park is clean and pleasant.
We stayed at the Palm Springs campground for four days. While there we went to the Indio County Fair.
Like many county fairs around the country there were carnival rides; animal exhibits; hobbies; and crafts.
There was an impressive quilting exhibit as well as gemstone, art, and baking,
The Date Festival portion of the fair included many types of dates and many foods using dates.
One of the events on the day of our visit were zebra, ostrich and camel races - a fun event for kids.
